Natrosol™ 250 HHR Hydroxyethylcellulose, PC Grade is a nonionic, water-soluble polymer that enhances a variety of personal care products. This white, free-flowing granular powder is ideal for applications such as hair conditioner, liquid soaps, shave gels and foams, high-salt toothpaste, baby and adult wipes, makeup and mascara, antiperspirant and deodorant solids, and lubricant gels.
Solutions of Natrosol HEC exhibit pseudoplastic or shear-thinning behaviour, making them easy to apply. As a biodegradable cellulose derivative, hydroxyethylcellulose is perfect for water-based products like skin creams and lotions, providing excellent thickening and stabilising properties. It is an easy-to-handle powder that is highly efficient, compatible with a wide range of surfactants, and extremely tolerant to salts and electrolytes. It also offers a high degree of solution clarity.
