Our much-requested rectangular silicone mould is a perfect addition for anyone seeking to craft soap bars with flat sides and straight lines. This mould was designed following the success of our Square Silicone 12 Cavity Mould, offering the same ease of use and excellent results.

Each cavity holds approximately 120-135g of soap, with dimensions of 7.5cm by 5.1cm by 4cm. The mould is crafted from durable silicone, ensuring long-lasting performance. The dimensions provided are approximate, with this design being slightly off-square by 0.5cm but still known as “The Original Silicone Square Mould”.

Suitable for both cold processed soap and melt & pour soap, as well as massage & bath melts, this mould is versatile and reliable. However, please note that it is not rigid enough for bath bombs and fizzies.

For optimal results with cold process soap, we recommend either a 15% water discount or adding 1 tsp of sodium lactate per 500g of soap to your recipe, which aids in easier unmoulding. As with all silicone moulds, it’s advisable to place them on a rigid baking sheet while soaping to facilitate movement before the soap sets.

Cleaning the mould is straightforward with warm, soapy water, though dishwasher use is not recommended to maintain the mould’s integrity. Once used for soap making, the mould is no longer suitable for food use.

These moulds offer practical solutions that guarantee outstanding results when handled with care.When working with our silicone tray moulds, always place them on a baking sheet or board to ensure they have the necessary support due to their flexibility. This recommendation applies to all our silicone moulds with multiple cavities. To protect the integrity of your moulds, avoid using knives to “unstick” your soap. Instead, gently use a blunt spatula or a bread and butter knife to introduce some air at the edges. This technique will allow you to peel back the mould easily without causing any damage.For cleaning, simply use warm, soapy water and a sponge to remove any residual soap. Avoid using scourers and abrasives that can harm the silicone surface. It’s crucial not to wash the moulds in a dishwasher, as the high heat can warp them, affecting their shape and functionality. Hand washing thoroughly ensures the mould’s durability and effectiveness over time.
